B Ed (Education in Development) Honours
Since 2004 the University of Huddersfield (UK) and Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University (GPNU) have been successfully co-operating to deliver the above undergraduate course in Guangzhou. The course has graduated over 300 students since it started.
Graduates have taken up a variety of jobs including: teaching English, HR training, government jobs, or employment in commercial businesses such as banks and marketing companies.
In 2012 the University of Huddersfield’s School of Education was ranked 2nd to Cambridge University in The Guardian League Table for all universities in the UK.
The B Ed (Education in Development) is a one year honours top-up degree that is taught by tutors from the University of Huddersfield, UK. The course is taught in English.

Course Structure and delivery
The course has two different majors – Human Resource Development (HRD) and Teaching the Second Language (SLD).

Each subject is taught in blocks of three weeks intensive teaching. Between teaching blocks students complete assessments and receive academic and personal tutorial support and guidance.
Entry requirements
An associate degree or diploma from a Chinese university/college. English competence. Applicants are required to pass a written English language test and are interviewed by a teacher from the University of Huddersfield.
